Physicall Therapy at ROI

Rehabilitation Options of Issaquah-Physical Therapy (ROI-PT) emphasizes a comprehensive approach combining therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, patient education, and multiple modes of treatment to enhance the recovery of our patients and return them to function in the shortest time possible. Treatment is provided by both Physical Therapists (PT) and Physical Therapist Assistants (PTA).

Physical therapy (also physiotherapy) is a health profession that assesses and provides treatment to individuals to develop, maintain and restore maximum movement and function throughout life. This includes providing treatment in circumstances where movement and function are threatened by aging, injury, disease or environmental factors. Physical Therapists promote healing by reducing pain and inflammation, by increasing range of motion and strength, and by improving posture, body awareness, and body mechanics.

Physical Therapists help people with orthopedic conditions, joint and soft tissue injuries, workplace injuries, auto injuries, and sports injuries. Physical Therapists utilize treatment techniques, such as therapeutic exercise, joint mobilizations, modalities, and education programs, to promote the ability to move, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability.

Our physical therapist is Greg Fore. Our physical therapy assistant is Alyssa Jacobs.

What to Expect

If you choose ROI-PT as your physical therapy provider, here’s what to expect along your journey to recovery.

  • Evaluation - Each patient’s course of therapy begins with a specialized and focused evaluation, which involves collecting information about the current problem as well as the individual’s general health and therapy goals. A physical exam is then conducted to assess the range of motion, sensation awareness, pain levels, strength, and your ability to perform specific functional tasks.
  • Treatment - Your treatment program will initially focus on relieving your symptoms and on stabilizing your condition. This will be accomplished using a wide range of interventions to facilitate necessary changes. Treatment will then progress to strengthening and regaining maximum movement and function. Flexibility and strengthening programs are tailored to meet individual goals and to assist in the process of recovery. In addition, you will learn ways to prevent future problems and maintain health.
  • Education - Since your understanding and participation is essential in achieving your treatment goals, you will be taught strategies to take control of your body and the process of healing. Education is part of what we do as physical therapists. Expect to receive a written home program that will include both flexibility and strengthening techniques.
  • Communication - Open communication is vital between you and your therapist, and we encourage you to ask questions during your course of therapy.
